Meet Maureen Scheffler for this week’s #TigersFanFridays. Maureen, from South Lyon, MI, has been coming to enough Tigers games she’s managed to sit in all but four sections at Comerica Park. Over time, Maureen has developed her favorites, like Section 102, or the 300 level behind home plate, but she noted she’s happy to sit anywhere.
“I just love to watch the games, because I feel like I am on vacation when I am at the stadium,” she said. “I love watching the performances before the games.”
More than anything, Maureen loves people watching and meeting the people in whatever section she's at. It’s the experience – the pregame meal at the Elwood, checking out The D Shop, the performances, the concessions and waiting to catch a glimpse of her favorite players – that keep her coming back.
Two years ago, with her husband, sister and cousins, Maureen visited Lakeland to catch Spring Training. And she’s hoping to repeat one of her favorite experiences sometime soon. She doesn't know where she’ll sit when she's there. But there’s still time to figure that out.
