The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced yesterday that they would not grant an easement for the Dakota Access Pipeline. Protestors, including 2,000 U.S. military veterans, celebrated the news while gathered at the Standing Rock site. "The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and all of Indian Country will be forever grateful to the Obama Administration for this historic decision," Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Chairman Dave Archambault II said following the announcement.
