The Dakota access pipeline was originally planned to be constructed in part near Bismarck North Dakota, a predominantly white city and suburb. It has since been re planned to cross below the Missouri River on land that belongs to the Standing Rock native tribe, posing not only significant environmental threats to the drinking water of the tribe and also a good portion of the midwestern States, but also will desecrate sacred Native American grounds. Under the treaty of Fort Laramie (1851) it was sanctioned that that land belongs to the Standing Rock tribe. Something must be done to wright this wrong. Hope that the pipeline plan will be reconsidered to protect sacred non white land, and that environmental concerns will be heard are dismal considering that President Elect Trump holds a stake in Energy Transfer Partners (the oil company building the pipeline), and that Gov. Rick Perry (who is being considered for holding a cabinet position in the Trump administration) serve on the board of directors of ETP. #istandwithstandingrock #nodapl #somuchfordrainingtheswamp #protecttheenvironment #environment bring back #ethics to #business and #government
