I know I know- I'm late to the Thanksgiving posts!! But I am sitting here drinking my coffee (but really talking myself out of a post turkey day workout) and reflecting on what this holiday really means to me.
My husband and I hosted our very first Thanksgiving, and for many, the holiday season can bring it's challenges and stresses...but it definitely helped remind me that my blessings far outweigh the problems in my life. I am someone that is guilty of worrying about what's to come or needs to be done instead of staying fully present and taking in all life's moments...for that is all we ever have! And in the height of this holiday season, I want to work on verbalizing His goodness and faithfulness that has given me such a full heart.
So I have come to the conclusion that to me Thanksgiving is about all those who have shaped our lives and filled spaces in our hearts; it is for the joy in the midst of all things; it is for the love of family and friends in our presence, and a remembrance of precious loved ones no longer present, but with us just the same.... and of course it's for the food!! #thanksgiving #thankful #Hisundescribablelove
