Umara Bukar’s family fled their village in Borno state #Nigeria due to the ongoing Boko Haram crisis. The 7-month-old weighed just 4.2kg 20 days ago when he first arrived at a UNICEF Nigeria-supported clinic in Maiduguri. He now weighs 5.1kg. Over 117,00 children with severe acute malnutrition in northeast Nigeria have been admitted to therapeutic feeding programmes run by UNICEF and partners.
