Im tired of knowing you before i see you.
And letting me be seen before being known.
The speed it takes to get to the point
that we are missing -
To try to say the same things
but not hear-
Just get to
kissing-
Filling our lips with silenced words
and our mouths with
forced fed distraction.
To not get to our point.
But to numb
waking up with split lips
and bruised hips
and flashbacks
of imposters of Intimate.
But our body knows the
foreign feeling of a stranger.
And - after
its all worn away
we push away
remembering a trace instinct of what it feels
like to
wake up to the eyes of someone
whose naked soul is speaking-
silently
Silently - we shout
for the language to be heard that we
string along this trail.
Abandoning hope because we are too def
to hear its calls
Coming just around the next turn -
but instead we dig a hole to fall into.
