I really weighed posting this heavily. I believe in the people's vote and the voice of the country and though I hate the decision, would never question the election of Donald Trump, even if he didn't win the popular vote- I would still accept him as the president elect. But. BUT. Something fishy is going on. Enough experts have weighed in now; and so I encourage you to ask for an audit of votes in the following 3 states. Maybe everything was perfectly legal and legit. But also... what if it wasn't? This from a friend in the know: "A bit of action you can take:
Call the department of Justice for an audit of questionable returns from swing states: "Department of Justice is tallying phone calls regarding those who want the 2016 Vote audited in PA, MI & WI. They are starting to recognize there really is something off about the election results as they still come in. Considering everything that is at stake, a vote audit should be done.
Please take one minute and call/email the DOJ - Department of Justice: 1-800-253-3931 (press 5) or 202-353-1555 (leave message) or email: voting.section@usdoj.gov (CALL, DON'T LEAVE IT TO EMAIL)
You can just ask your name to be added to the list requesting the investigation instead of going through the whole thing.
Here's a longer voicemail you can leave if you'd like: But all you have to do is ask your name to be added to the list.
"My name is [first last name], I'm calling from [city],[state] to respectfully request you pursue an investigation into voter suppression, Crosscheck abuse, Russian hacking and FBI interference with the 2016 presidential election. Please issue an injunction until a thorough investigation can take place."
The point is to provide the DOJ with numbers so they can say X number of Americans want an injunction. Short, sweet, polite does the trick.
I called the 800 number and a nice woman answered and was very polite while I read my statement. It took all of 30 seconds.
