Meet Leven Weiss and Brooke Johnson. Leven and Brooke have taken different paths as fans, but since their first date 6 years ago, they keep coming back.
Leven was born in Detroit, where he grew up. He began coming to games when he was as young as 7 years old, taking the bus down with his friends for bleacher seats. He’d wait for the days when he could collect souvenir bats or balls, then return home to play sandlot baseball with them.

Brooke became a fan later on, but she has been loyal for nearly two decades. She’s made an effort to come down to Opening Day with Leven since they began dating, where she notes the Tigers have won every time. “We like to think of ourselves as good luck when we come together,” she said. “There’s nothing better than sharing a game with loved ones,” Leven said. “Our first date was here on Opening Day. I remember taking my dad, who’s no longer with us, to the last game at Tiger Stadium. I brought my mom once when I got a chance to throw out the first pitch. So whether we won or lost, we still enjoyed our time.” #TigersFanFridays
