Hi, my name is Pee Wee (@peeweesbigpugventure and this is my story.
Once upon a time there was a little puppy (me) who was abandoned on a desolate road in Oklahoma in freezing January. I was found with a badly ruptured eye, extremely dehydrated and malnourished, weighing only 3.3 lbs at three months old. I thought this was it. Little did I know, it was the last moment I was ever going to feel unloved in my life. I was rescued, taken to a local shelter where I was immediately taken under the paw of @homeward_bound_pug_rescue. They created a go fund me account with this (super unflattering) photo of me which ended up capturing the hearts of thousands. And speaking of thousands, over $8000 was raised to help fund my eye surgery and many vet bills. My eye was removed and I was saved because of compassion and love.
Today, I live with the coolest parents (@darklordpug and @tinyglassanimal) and two pug brothers. I am completely blind. My other eye was never fully formed, but I keep it around because it looks cute. I am a superhero pug. I can navigate with my sonar ears and powerful scent, and sometimes with the help of my brothers. I love kisses, snuggling, treats, bouncing around, biting my brothers legs and parents fingers, and being happy. Despite my start, I think I am the luckiest creature ever to walk the planet.
