Tattoo by the super artist @winter_stone Story by Papa Bear: Some life cycles ago, there was a Zen monk that him being super obsessive trying to realize his Enlightenment, decided to tattoo the phrase "Are you there?" On his left forearm as a method of Meditation; He would see his tattoo and asked himself the question "Are you there?" but also replied to himself: "Yes, I am here". And then a small conversation would continue; "Are you sure?", and again, "Yes, I'm, sure". This happened all day long for years and years, come rain or come shine. This was his way of interpreting that he had to BE PRESENT in this Never Ending Moment. Little did he know that that was not a Meditation technique but only a foolish mantra aimed to bore the mind, not to transcend it. So as he grew older, he started to lose hope until one day in desperation he finally gave up and sent everything to hell. And then, he started to laugh nonstop. By giving up he realized that the very effort of trying to be present was a distraction of the mind that prevented him from seeing TRUTH. Trying belongs to the ego, to let go is the key to No-Mind. After he stopped laughing physically (One never stops laughing to be honest), he fulfilled the second rule after One realizes Enlightenment: He drank a cup of tea. Now you know how the idea of having the most important things tattooed on one's forearms got instilled on me. And like the Buddha would say: "What is Truth? Whatever works..." #PapaBearChronicles @winter_stone #BePresent #BlackJaguarWhiteTiger @winter_stone
