For the past couple weeks I've been going down to the southside of Chicago in Englewood to document and volunteer at an amazing non profit called @igrowchicago. IGrow is an nonprofit tha has built a peace house in a neighborhood that provides a safe haven for kids in the community.

Besides community members teaching children sustainable farming, and nutrition, they also teach them mediation and yoga. To see little black boys that look like me taking breaks of mediation on their own with the chaos around gave me hope for the future.

With the photos I took, last night we held a special @eyeeaters dinner in collaboration with @lululemonchi. We brought community leaders and founders of igrow together to talk about their organization and how we can bring more awareness to the whole Chicago community at large. Would like to thank @honeyschicago and Chef Charles for cooking an amazing meal last night. ??
