Wondering when is the right date to request your R.S.V.P. by? Typically I recommend for weddings, 4 weeks before your wedding date (8 weeks for destination weddings). For social events you can make it closer. Also plan some cushion time for follow ups with your guests who take their time mailing back. Do you have any fun/funny/horror stories you experienced with your own RSVPs? For my own, I chose deep red response envelopes which I LOVED to open the mailbox and see the color popping in the stack of boring mail. But my biggest surprise was some of my guests sent their replies back empty with out even writing anything on them!
