A fun story to pull your mind away from the current election! Once upon a time, in a far away land called "The Fatherland", there was a failed artist/ businessman whose name sounded a lot like a sneeze. It wasn't Drumpf, it was Adolf. One day, Adolf decided he was going to take over the world. Adolf was thirsty for power due, at least in part, to possessing an incredibly small penis. Adolf decided he would start by writing a bullshit autobiography. He then doctored some glowing reviews for said autobiography under a bunch of fake names. Soon thereafter, Adolf fashioned himself a horrible haircut and went around The Fatherland repeating angry sound bites while gesticulating wildly. He stoked fear in the hearts of the economically disempowered people of The Fatherland. He told them there was something rotten in Fatherland and that he was the only one who could fix the economy. They believed him because he said he was going to make The Fatherland great again, alluding to a completely fictionalized historical period that privileged a specific group of white people. Some listened. Adolf began to encourage violence against certain ethnic groups, state sanctioned religious intolerance, he threatened to imprison his political opponents and he began blaming immigrants for EVERYTHING wrong in the Fatherland. It became "a movement". The press couldn't get enough of him. His rallies were huge, let me tell you! Just tremendous. Anyways, to make a long story short, it didn't turn out too well for The Fatherland. I skipped the part later on in the story where they also built a wall... didn't turn out too well either. Oh, I should also say that I just #voted and damn it felt good. It felt like I did my duty - so many have given so much for my right to vote. That's why I helped register others, I made sure to understand all of the down ballot issues, at least to the best of my ability, and I looked at voting guides when I needed guidance. I brought people to the polls with me and hopefully I will have played my part in electing the First Female President into the White House and not some schmuck who reminds me of Adolf. So, with that, go #VOTE #ImWithHer
