My latest article is for those not voting or voting 3rd party. Let's talk. "...I imagine you have a strong sense of who you are. You do not waiver in your truth, your decisions, your art, or your life. You don’t compromise and you take issue with those that do—who use the idea of compromise as an excuse to live blindly and ignorant to the world’s atrocities. You don’t understand why Americans actively choose to look away from some of the terrible things this country was founded on and the things it continues to nurture today. You feel sad for the anti-intellectualism that plagues much of America, which often finds people making choices against their own self-interest. You’re tired of feeling like the smartest one in the room, and you probably often are. You also believe that Donald Trump is one of the most hideous hairs to ever grow out of the two-party-system mole on America’s face. Trump’s bigotry, his racism, his disdain for women, are enough to make you want to take him out behind the gym, as Joe Biden put it. You can’t believe the gullibility of people who have been suckered into supporting him. You might even have a tinge of schadenfreude, looking at the likes of Trump and thinking, You know what? This is what you get, America. This is what you get for living with your eyes closed for so long. You made your bed, now cry in it. But unlike a lot of people whose values and intelligence reflect your own—people such as Louis C.K., Sarah Silverman, Bernie Sanders, Michael Moore, Stephen King, Patton Oswalt, some guy named David Cross, Jimmy Carter, Lawrence Lessig, Al Gore, Sean King, Robert Kennedy Jr., The Center for American Progress, Nobel Laureate Phillip Warren Anderson, political theorist and winner of the Nobel Prize winner Kenneth Arrow, Frank Miller, Joss Whedon, Kathleen Hanna and Le Tigre, Glen Danzig, Ian McKaye and Fugazi, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Jill Soloway, Jodi Picoult, Salman Rushdie, Jay- Z, Ghostface Killah, both the late Prince and the late David Bowie, Questlove, MoveOn.org, Human Rights Campaign, Al Franken, Jeremy Scahill, Bill Maher, and Noam Chomsky—you still refuse to vote for Hillary Clinton. Can we talk about this?..." (link in bio
