Rising up from the Atlantic depths some 500km off the coast of West #Africa, lie the islands of Cape Verde. Wherever you are in the archipelago it's easy to be overwhelmed by the raw power of nature - active volcanoes, canyons, desert plains and beaches all vie for space in this astonishing place. This sight in particular is the precipitous settlement of Fontainhas. They must have quite the view, eh?
