The Prince of Wales today visited the Ras Al Shajar nature reserve. The sanctuary is one of the longest established protected areas and is famous for its rich biodiversity, animals, plants and geological elements.
During the visit His Royal Highness was able to taste some of the local honey made in the nature reserve.
Ras Al Shajar is home to many rare mammals, including the Arabian Gazelle, the Arabian Tahar, the Red Fox and the Arabian Lynx.
