This is a disturbing photo that the veterinary profession doesn't want you to see?pls tag a couple friends & help spread the awareness.
These are perfectly healthy toe bones & claws that were burned off a cat's paw by a vet$ $35,000 laser. This method of amputation is just as inhumane as the guillotine clippers and scalpel.?
These vet$ have to do a lot of declaw$ to pay the bill on their laser machines. ?? Please remember we MUST keep shining light on this unnecessary torture & cruelty that is going on behind closed doors in around 80% of veterinary practices in America. 2 million cats a year in America are declawed & 99% of the time it is for the welfare of furniture or curtains. The other 1% of the time it is for lame excuses like thin skin or human health reasons. Declawing is a billion dollar business in America.
We must keep educating cat owners about how declawing is ALWAYS harmful & mutilating to their cats no matter what instrument of torture & mutilation a vet uses.
There are ALWAYS humane alternatives like trimming their nails, sturdy vertical and horizontal scratching posts, and Soft paws (if needed)
Cats need their claws & toe bones for many aspects of their health and well being!!! If your vet declaws cats & won't stop, then please tell them you are taking your business to a humane, ethical, no-declaw vet.
If they say they declaw because it keeps a cat in a home, tell them that there are thousands of declawed cats in shelters/rescues that were thrown away because of behavioral issues like biting, aggression, and litter box avoidance issues. And many of these declawed cats are euthanized because of those issues.
Please be on the right side of cat history and help us end this dark and evil chapter in the American veterinary profession. PLEASE help us end it declawing in N. America.
