I wrote most of ‘Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy’ on the last voyage of the SS France, going from Southampton to New York. It was the first album of mine to enter at number one on the Billboard charts and is very important to me. It’s also a very autobiographical album, in the sense that it tells the story of how Bernie Taupin and I started out. #EltonXBurberry
