This man is celebrating being liberated from ISIS – by enjoying his first shave in two years. The terror group fled the Iraqi town of al Fazliya six days ago; since then, hundreds of men have asked the local barber for shaves and trendy haircuts that were forbidden under occupation. Townspeople are revelling in simple pleasures that could have earned them beatings a week ago: wearing western clothes, smoking cigarettes, women leaving home unaccompanied. It’s a story that’s being repeated across the country as Iraqi and Peshmerga fighters edge ever closer to the key city of Mosul, which they hope to free from ISIS control. (?: @dominiquecnn)
