The greatest role models I have known are the ones who lift others without asserting themselves over anyone. It takes genuine humility and character to lay down "rank" in order to build up another person. To withhold advice at times because there is a confidence and belief that a person can experience an insight beautifully in their own pace. To give a genuine compliment that puts others on equal footing. The biggest motivators in my own journey have been those who could have rightly asserted themselves over me whether by age, status or experience, but chose not to. What an incredible way to inspire honor than by demonstrating it. I notice these little things and they leave life-lasting ripples and inspire me to be mindful when the blessing to lift another arrives and how I approach my fellow human, whether younger, older, junior or senior. There's enough room for everyone to become great and to celebrate together. Here's to more of that. •
