Skateboarding as an adult is a great metaphor for life. Its high in difficulty, the path littered with seemingly harmless pebbles, sometimes you sail over them and sometimes you don't, and when you don't, and you FALL - which you ultimately will from time to time - you fall harder and farther than you used to and it seems to hurt worse than you ever remember. But hey... you're really okay. Don't stop "skating". Life is humbling sometimes. But it's too short to live in fear; that you'll fall down, or fall in love, or fall for someone's tricks, or fall into a "failure"... Somehow we always get back up. We're resilient. More resilient than we know sometimes. So the next time you're skating along, proverbially or otherwise, don't let the worries and "what if's" ruin the ride. Roll with it. Maybe you'll fall like I did and have a scar that every make-up artist will try desperately to cover. But maybe it'll end up being your favorite one and a great memory... one that makes you and your friends laugh because you still skateboard as a female adult cause time is a construct and age is a state of mind. ? #tbt . . . . Ps - when LITERALLY skateboarding, perhaps consider heeding your mother's relentless advice to wear some goddamn elbow pads even when you're 25 (which is how old I was when I ate shit this hard) and you think they're not only cumbersome but RIDICULOUS from a fashion perspective. Seriously. Moms know shit.
