#MovementMondays Today I'm excited to share a new kind of Movement Mondays. In light of my recent announcement of a new awards show I am producing called @youngwomenshonors I am highlighting Women excelling in all fields. In collaboration with @The Run Dept. my very first post is Carmelita "The Jet" Jeter, an African American sprinter who found her speed only after already excelling at basketball. This coming Saturday Carmelita and I will be running with @The Run Dept. to launch the new The Nike + Apple Watch, and I couldn't be more honored to do it with such an inspiring and empowering athlete. Not to mention she is the fastest woman in the world. #NBD. With gold medals, multiple silver and bronze medals and three world championships later Carmelita still holds three of the top ten times ever run in the 100 meter! Carmelita doesn’t just make an impact on the track. This incredibly inspiring soul recently started promoting a new app that brings to light breast cancer prevention, called B4BC (Boarding For Breast Cancer), which reminds women about monthly check-ups, helps them schedule appointments, and also provides a community for fighters and survivors to stay active and healthy together. Carmelita is the epitome of an athlete who is using her talent and skill to make a difference in the world, and to inspire people to come together to make the world a better place.
