Last weekend at @hilarityforcharity was the first time I really took the opportunity to give back to the community of families dealing with Alzheimer's Disease. Every year @セス・ローゲン + his wife @laurenmillerrogen's organization raise over $1M to put toward caretaker hours for the devoted spouses, sons, daughters who can't otherwise afford it + desperately need a night's sleep. I know from experience how the disease can take over a whole family. My dad has needed 24-hour care for over three years now, + I cannot imagine what it would be like if we were not able to afford any help. While most Alzheimer's orgs are doing great work to research + prevent the disease, HFC focuses its efforts mainly towards families who are struggling w Alzheimer's *right NOW*, bringing aid literally to their doorstep.
