Thank you all for the happy birthday wishes!
I am currently in Nanjing, China. My team has been training and playing some friendly matches against a Chinese team here for the past several days. There is this pretty little lake right outside of our hotel that we walk across every morning to get to the training hall. Naturally, I lag behind the group, staring at everything with newborn wonder, and loudly exclaiming about how glorious the world is. I convinced one of my teammates that I went swimming in the lake earlier one morning (I had not, I just like to see what I can make them believe). On another occasion, I saw a frog hopping across the bridge, so I swooped down and caught it. Then I ran among my teammates, proudly displaying my catch, and watched them squeal with a wicked smile on my face.
I may have just turned 24, but the 5 year old in me holds strong.
