Shaun Reed and Cassandra Ilich were married Sept. 24 at the bride’s family’s home in Ione, Calif. The couple were bound together by their right hands to symbolize “oneness.” They remained this way for the entirety of the ceremony. The outdoor service was led by the Rev. Steven Tumbas, who followed a traditional Serbian Orthodox liturgy in both Serbian and English. It was rock climbing that brought the couple together in 2013.
