Life growing on life, vacant real-estate in the #hohrainforest can be a hard thing to find. With rain fall ranging between 14-17 feet per year, the forest is a lush and fertile place for coniferous and deciduous species. If plants can find fertile ground, the race is on. This young tree here is actually growing it's way into this towering and mature redwood. The Hoh Rain Forest is located in the stretch of the Pacific Northwest rainforest which once spanned the Pacific coast from southeastern Alaska to the central coast of California.
