“I was diagnosed with Stage III triple negative breast cancer when I was 43. On the eve of my birthday I found a lump. They blast you with chemo and you hope something takes. In my case, it did for almost two years now. About two weeks ago, I was in the hospital with some pain. They did a CAT scan and found the cancer had spread to my lungs and my sternum. I was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. So now we’re figuring out treatment options, but I’m probably going to do chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy. This part of my story isn’t over yet. Either I have more to learn or I have more to do to help other women. I just think maybe this is my calling … to advocate.
