Had a nice evening at the once a month spoken word event at @savoyinglewood I had no idea how fly it'd be! This brother right here @prenticepowell1906 (with his lovely wife) was absolutely fantastic with his poetry! He Addressed several social issues, love and being a "porn star" for his woman (it was really dope!) and one about how he's prepare his young black sons to face the possibility he might not make it back home alive and the advice he'd give them so they live. Also one poem was so powerful that talked about the strength of the black mother with all the burdens she must carry in this harsh world- with very little help from anyone else. So much talent there tonight and I'll definitely be back again soon! Oh and the tacos at The savoy were all that!
