Yesterday I posted a photo of @castellersdevilafranca achieving their incredible 10-LEVEL HUMAN TOWER! Today I decided to hunt down some videos and make this compilation to show the challenges of creating one of these amazing structures! "Castellers" are a cultural team tradition from ??Catalonia?? spanning centuries (since at least the year 1712!!) These teams (made up of hundreds of members, young and old) work together to build giant human towers and also compete to see who can build the biggest. This week, @castellersdevilafranca retained their championship title yet made their tower even more difficult than last time! Amazing strength and incredible teamwork.

INTERESTING FACT: On November 16, 2010, castells were declared by UNESCO to be amongst the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity!
