Meet Sabrina and Jim. I met them at 6am today after breakfast in Orlando, FL. Without knowing them, I walked up to them and asked them for a ride to Atlanta after over-hearing they were driving to NC via Atlanta. Flights were sold out, and rental car companies were not responding, so I was "stuck". They took about 2 seconds to say yes (one of those was to confirm that the huge suitcase I carried was not a dead body, but it was golf clubs instead). It has been a crazy 48 hours with #Mathew but I am grateful to be safe flying home now. These are the experiences that make life interesting. Being in danger is not fun, but it teaches us a lot about ourselves and others. In the midst of the fear and uncertainty last night, I realized I had no option but to be kind to myself and others. And I noticed everyone else was doing the same thing. Why do we need a life-threatening situation to love ourselves and others? Living already IS a life threatening situation so why not go through life with that love driving our actions. Today, my faith in the human Spirit was re-confirmed, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to share this experience. Now go spread the love and go live!! ❤️ Stay safe East Coast ??
