A night not soon forgotten. Our world premiere of "13TH" as the Opening Night Gala of New York Film Festival. I never dreamed this dream. That a documentary about injustice, about systemic racism, about the criminalization and mass incarceration of black people would play three times in Lincoln Center's largest hall to three standing ovations and many tears. I don't know what it means. But I choose to hope that this film does something good in the world. Somewhere. Somehow. High hopes. xo. #nyff #13th
