I will always support small/family/independent business as I grew up in and around it, and my heart is just a part of it. There is something really special when purchasing something handcrafted or getting goods from a store who not only knows your name but who knows your dreams, your kids and the things happening in your life. To me that is so much more meaningful of an experience and not only that but there's nothing like building relationships with the folks behind these businesses. They are some of the kindest of souls that I've met. •
So on that, today's #edc is for a few of the small businesses that are really special to me starting with the Montegrappa Fortuna Mule Copper fountain pen available at @justvanness who also has one of the most amazing ink selections I've ever seen and will be at the @coloradopenshow this weekend!! The nib on the Mule is a customized smooth calligraphy italic done by none other than @thenibsmith who truly makes all my pens sing - highly recommend! The paper is Tomoe River from a thread bound notebook handcrafted by @fountainpenday along with the gorgeous pebbled leather traveler's notebook (you can order yours online or stop by his table at the #copenshow2016). The beautiful contrast stitching & wonderfully handcrafted leather double pen holder & Hobonichi cover by @galen_leather. My favorite travel candle made from organic all natural ingredients by @luckybastardco. And last but not least, the newly released innovative design of the Mod Tablet 3 (peeking out the right side and featured in several of my posts - I cannot praise this carryall enough) by @thisisground.
