#Onthisday in 2001, The Duchess of Cornwall became President of @osteoporosissoc, a charity dedicated to improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of this fragile bone disease.

HRH first became involved with the Osteoporosis Society in 1997 following the death of her mother and grandmother as a result of the illness.
