In a big win for this little guy, all 8 species of pangolin have won the highest level of protection at the CITIES global wildlife summit. This means all international trade of this remarkable animal is now completely banned. This is a huge victory for a species that is considered the most trafficked mammal on earth. It’s estimated more than one million pangolins have been taken from the wild in the past decade for their scales and meat.
