Hi everyone! My name is Kristina Broadie, Deputy Associate Director in the @The White House Social Office. Today, I want to show you one of the unique ways that we like to greet our guests during special events at the White House. In an effort to showcase the diverse talent across America we often times bring musical groups to perform for guests as they enter a reception like the one we are hosting today, for the opening of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Today's group, the St. Martin's Mass Choir of St. Martin's Roman Catholic Church is local to Washington, DC. As a former choral student, I always enjoy hearing these special performances as I walk through the halls. And sometimes I even stop and sing along for a minute or two.
