When I was young, the world outside San Diego seemed big, scary and unpredictable. I never had wanderlust, but I was thrust into the world of travel through my skateboarding career. I grew to love seeing new places, meeting new people and trying new cuisines. Nowadays, it's a paradox of enjoying a worldly lifestyle while yearning to be with my family. Some trips are a happy mixture of both; others are simply for "work" without time for tourism. Today is the latter, but this tunnel represents connecting to the home stretch... and I've seen it more than I care to admit.
