Since the ability to filter Instagram comments started, I've been watching mine more closely (I used to duck and weave through them like I was in a paintball game) just to get a sense of the new normal, and it's been great. But when I saw this comment (the user is private and I have zero interest in piling on anyone) something in me didn't snap- it grew. I remembered the amazing article about Mary Beard and her relationship to trolls in The New Yorker. I'm very far from enlightened.
