Star Wars!! What else?? ((:0)) John Williams & I go way back to the days when we used to play bebop with Cannonball Adderly...John is an absolute genius & that film score is just as frightening today as it was the first day it came out!
Now, if you're asking me to pick one of my own...I'd say Pawnbroker because in addition to having beautiful memories of it being my first score, it's also just hard & I love a challenge!! I'd wanted to do film scores since I was 15, so I'd buy 50 cent movie soundtracks & listen on repeat until I could identify an Alfred Newman from a Century Fox...I got to the point where I could just feel who the composer was. I didn't get a shot until I was 30, because they didn't use brothers...But I said screw that & went on to do 6 scores with Sidney Poitier, 6 with Sidney Lumet, & it all started there...
