It's been almost a month since the Rio Olympics have ended and after coming straight back to class at UC Berkeley, I now finally have some time to reflect on my #roadrorio. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better Olympic experience and I am truly so so grateful for the overwhelming amount of love and support I've received over the past year from my family, friends, coaches, club, sponsors, and fans. Even though I lost in the 3rd round and didn't get the medal that I had wanted, I left absolutely everything out on the court and am extremely proud to have represented Team USA in the Olympics. It is of the highest honor for me and I cherish such an opportunity greatly.
As for my future, I plan on continuing my education at Cal while playing table tennis on the side. I understand that it will be difficult to balance both and I will be unable to pursue a professional career in table tennis for now, but I value my education equally and will still try to practice and compete as much as I can. Hopefully I will be able graduate in 3 years time and go all out again for Tokyo 2020. And who knows about that medal, third time's a charm right? ???? #TeamUSA #RioOlympics #thankyourio #Tokyo2020
Side note: I didn't have much time to use IG down in Rio, so I will be posting some more pictures of my experience in the next few days!
