As an 80's kid, I used to strap on my rollerblades and skate around the top of these towers. I felt totally free. Invincible. Watching these same towers crumble to the destruction of evil on September 11, 2001 was absolutely devastating. I was 18 years old and has just moved to Los Angeles from Boston in August. On 9-11-2001 , Flight 175 was also scheduled to fly from Boston Logan airport to Los Angeles. I will never forget the senseless loss of life, the pain, the heartache. But I will also forever remember the fortitude, the resilience, and the love we shared as a country.
My sincerest gratitude to the first responders and to everyone who showed so much bravery on this day. We will #neverforget you, and together, we will prevail. For we are always better United. #freedom
