There are many spiritual wars, physical wars and personal convictions/battles that are taking place inside and outside of our nation every day. The men and women of our military have fought with loyalty to their death and marched without question of their integrity. I salute them. And because they have fought for our freedom of speech I will speak. I salute you.
Regardless of my opinion, wishes and convictions the fact is today is much bigger than my feelings. I set aside all personal engagements to focus on and pay my respects to what 9/11 means to this country.
You sympathize by recognizing someone needs comfort and you empathize by being that comfort. No, I cannot be there for every person affected emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically as a result of Sept 11th 2001, but I hope this note finds you well today and let's you know that I care.
