On International #LiteracyDay, an inspiring story from our Director of Educational Programs, Abby Bucuvalas. Last fall, Abby met with teachers in #Zambia to hear their feedback on our water and sanitation (WASH UP!) program. “One teacher shared that the children in her class were more motivated to read than ever before, because they wanted to be able to read about our Global Health Ambassador @sesameraya in this storybook, called Raya the Healthy Superstar. It’s a great reminder that we shouldn’t draw a line between learning to read and reading to learn.
