The Big Island of Hawaii is so diverse in climates. Mauna Kea is the highest peak in the pacific and if makes the list for world's tallest mountain, which also happens to be a volcano. Yes it snows here.

When you think of Hawaii, you don't associate that image with artic gear. Wearing two thick jackets didn't stop the cold getting to me. I was shivering and huffing for air trying to get all my shots in the amount of time I had.
The lack of oxygen caught me off guard. It was then that I realized how important acclimation was. All worth it to watch the sun set into a sea a clouds. I've never seen the milkyway so bright anywhere either. Overall simply surreal. #instagood #watchthisinstagood #2instagood suggested by @vincentcroce
