Introducing the oustandingly talented, beautiful, kind-hearted, good-spirited, loyal, loving, curious, absorbant, cheeky, electric, bright bright STAR of our @queenofkatwemovie, Madina Nalwanga. She brings the true story of Phiona Mutesi, Uganda's chess prodigy, to life on screen, and is my on-screen daughter. Though it was her first time acting EVER, Madina worked diligently, truthfully and with great discipline to get a grasp of her role. She never let what she didn't know stop her from what she could know. She sought to be taught and she shared what she learned generously and with abandon. And she shone through it all!
