This is tough to look at but we MUST show the world this injustice and end it now! ??Another cat's life was ruined by a "doctor" of veterinary medicine amputating his toe bones & claws for a selfish & ignorant cat owner for the welfare of a sofa. A vet tech posted this photo on facebook. I'm sorry her vet at an AAHA hospital is choosing to do this mutilating procedure & using the weak excuse that it keeps a cat in a home. #bs Here are the comments from the vet tech.
"This is what the other side of de-clawing a cat looks like... You literally cut the tips of their toes off. They will never walk correctly. They will inevitably get arthritis as a result. It hurts. They don't understand what happened to them. If you don't like claws: don't own a damn cat. My vet tries to talk everyone out of it and only does it because otherwise the cat will lose their home..." Pease inspire your friends, family, and co-workers to educate themselves about how declawing Inhumanely harms the health and well being of ALL cats. Please find a humane and ethical vet in your area who doesn't torture cats and doesn't perform this mutilating procedure. We MUST end this animal cruelty they call "declawing" that is done to around 2 mil cats a year in America. It's wrong. It's evil. It's torture and always causes lifelong negative consequences for a cat.
To the ignorant and selfish cat owners who put the welfare of the sofas above the welfare of your cats and amputate their toe bones...just because you think your declawed cats seem fine, they aren't. Get your head out of your self imposed ignorance & use your heart & mind to realize that barbarically amputating much needed body parts off your cat is truly evil and sadistic.
