Destination � Loosely translated as "The Trolls Ladder," Trollstigen is a switch-backed mountain road through the Trolltildane mountain range in Reinheimen National Park, Norway. Travel north on Norwegian National Road 63 and you will descend nearly 3,000 feet into the valley bellow, crossing over the magnificent Stigfossen waterfall, a thousand-foot cascade of frigid beauty surrounded by some of the most dramatic scenery Norway has to offer. One thing: If you ever find yourself in Trollstigen, make sure to keep a few extra coins in your pouch. You never know when you might have to pay a "toll." It is Norway, after all.
