The incomparable #NellCarter is my #WCW! Nell was a fabulous actress and a fierce singer! She won a Tony Award for her performance in the Broadway musical Ain't Misbehavin', as well as an Emmy Award for playing the same role on TV.  Nell also appeared in Annie and Dude on Broadway, and her acting and vocal chops were prominently featured in the film adaptation of Hair.  However, most know her best as the no-nonsense yet lovable Nell Harper in NBC’s Gimme a Break!, earning two Best Comedy Actress #Emmys and Golden Globe nominations for her work on the show ??
