When I started with the #RedSox, I was quickly introduced to The Jimmy Fund. I fell in love with the kids and their families, and was in awe by the dedication of the doctors, nurses and volunteers at Dana-Farber. My husband, Will Middlebrooks, was a #RedSox co-captain for the Jimmy Fund during the 2013 & 2014 season. Little did I know, that my best friend's son would end up as a patient at the Jimmy Fund in the fall of 2015, at the tender age of 4 months old. I went from hospital visits with Wally, showing patients around Fenway, and hosting The Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon for NESN, to flying back to Boston to hold Hudson during his chemo treatments. It hit home... HARD. I've always known the incredible work they've done, but to see it, first hand, is a whole other story.
