It’s time to learn how to power plait! We hung out with braid babe and founder of @thebeachwaver @オードリナ・パトリッジ, who taught us a brilliant new way to combine six strands into one, cool style. Watch, learn, and prepare to amaze with this super pretty take on the half-up hairdo.

1. Section off the top right portion of your hair.
2. Split in two, wrapping the strands around each other to make a rope braid.
3. Clip your braid to the side.
4. Repeat technique on the left and center portions of your crown.
5. Weave the rope braids into a three-strand braid and secure with an elastic.
