It's National #kissandmakeup day today and I'm joining @Tarte Cosmetics in the movement to bring awareness to cyber bullying. This project really hits home for me, because I do put myself out here online, whether it be on here or my YouTube or other social channels, and that gives people to opportunity to attack behind a screen. It's sad to admit, but there are nasty comments left on my page almost every single day. People feel like they can say anything to anyone on the Internet and it not matter, but behind those photos and profiles there are real people with real feelings. Cyber bullying is SO huge, I can't scroll down my feed without passing at least 20 rude comments. I see this a lot within my own community especially and it just makes my heart drop to see artists attacking other artists because their work styles are different, or for one reason or another. In a community where we all share the same passions, we should be able to support and encourage each other! This industry is big enough for everyone and we are all SO different! It shouldn't be a competition and there's no need to be jealous or catty. Like the saying goes, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. It's so easy to scroll past a photo you dislike or if you're so put off, the unfollow button is there for a reason. Kindness is free. Love one another and encourage each other to be better.
